Topic: How to utilize Yelp's free tools + tips for responding to reviews

Yelp Denver's Senior Community Director, Matthew Careccia, will share how you can utilize Yelp's free tools to improve your online presence, reach consumers looking for businesses like yours and increase engagement. Matt will also share tips for responding to reviews - both negative and positive. Whether you run a brick and mortar business or a virtual business, you’ll leave this meeting with actionable insights. 97% of review readers take into consideration a businesses’ response to their reviews, according to Yelp. This makes a business’s response critical, as it’s a key factor in how consumers are choosing where they’ll spend their money. It’s no longer just what consumers say about your business—it’s also what you say back. Matt will also walk through a variety of updates you can currently make to your Yelp page to help your business during the pandemic and beyond.

About Matt: Matt spends his days organizing events for community members, running Yelp's local social media channels and collaborating with small businesses for experiential activations. In his downtime, you can find him hiking in the mountains and exploring the Denver culinary scene. He lives in Sloan's Lake with his fiancée, Chelsea, and their two year old puppy, a boxer/pit mix named Curry.

The World Health Organization has declared the COVID-19 outbreak a worldwide pandemic. COVID-19 appears highly contagious, and the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact, by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and in the air. People reportedly can be infected but show no symptoms and still spread the disease. Scientists and doctors do not fully understand how COVID-19 spreads, and there is no certain treatment, cure, or vaccine for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious illness and death.

Colorado Business Women (“CBW”) cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending CBW’s events.  Therefore, if you choose to engage in CBW’s activities, you may be exposing yourself to COVID-19, and increasing your risk of contracting or spreading the disease.

Please refer to Maggiano's safety website for their procedures in place with regards to COVID-19:

Anyone who chooses to participate in CBW's event has been made aware of the following ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I have read and understood the above warning concerning COVID-19. I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself in order to participate in CBW’s activities. These activities are of such value to me that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and spreading COVID-19 in order to participate and register for CBW’s events.
